Content Triggering - Using the Rules Composer

Using the Rules Composer, you can set up personalized rules (triggers) for content organization. This includes menus for selecting pre-defined options based on your system’s setup.

Using the Rules Composer

To use the Rules Composer:

1. Log in to InReality.
2. Click Rules in the left-side menu to open the Rules Composer.
3. Click Create New Rule in the top-right corner.
4. Provide a Rules Name, any relevant Tags, and a Description of the rule.
5. Click Create.

Next, you’ll need to set up the conditions of your rule (trigger).

To do so:

1. Click Add Condition.
2. Click the Select AOI dropdown and select the sensor associated with the camera or radar you’re using for this trigger.
3. Click the Datasource dropdown and select Radar or the camera you’d like to source.
   • Available options will be determined by your AOI selection.
4. Under your AOI and Datasource selections, click Add New Condition.
5. Select a Data Point.
   • This’ll depend on what you want the trigger to display.
6. Select an Operator* configuration.
   • This will be equal to, not equal to, greater than or less than.
7. Select a Value.
   • Available options will be determined by your Data Point selection.

To complete your new rule (trigger), you’ll need to assign an action.

To do so:

1. Click Add Action.
2. Click the Select AOI dropdown, then select 3rd Party.
3. Under Value, enter Enplug.
4. Click Publish Rule.
5. Select the Venue (location) where you want the rule attached. 
   • You can choose up to two venues.
6. Click Publish.

Timebox Settings

If you’ve added two separate conditions to a new rule, you’ll be provided with a timebox option. This creates an action when two conditions occur within a selected timeframe.

To create a timebox event:

1. Click the clock icon to the left of your set conditions.
2. In the Occurrence dropdown, select Occurs Within.
3. Click Done.
4. In the Time(sec) field, enter the duration you’d like (in seconds).
5. Click Done.

Note: Timebox settings and events are an option feature.
