4 - Data usage - Radar
Here is a formula used to calculate the data usage of the Radar sensor. You can then pick the data plan based on your use case.
Data usage calculation formula:
Multiply the following by 7MB
- Number of days venue is open
- Number of hours per day venue is open
- Average number of people in venue per hour
Example:
Your venue’s business hours are from 10AM to 8PM, 6 days a week and average 10 visitors (shoppers and staff) per hour:
- Number of days venue is open = 6 days * 4 weeks = 24 days
- Number of hours per day venue is open = 10 hours
- Average number of people in venue per hour = 10
Data usage per month = 24 x 10 x 10 x 7MB = 16,800MB = 16.8GB
