WiFi Setup
To set up a WiFi connection, you'll need to use an external display screen. Connect the appropriate cable from your display into the HDMI or DisplayPort (DP) on the InReality device.
Using an open USB port, attach a keyboard to the device. With the InReality AVA application running, press ALT + TAB to exit to the device Home screen.
Note: Pressing ALT + TAB will toggle between the AVA app and the device Home screen.
- From the Home screen, click Settings in the bottom-right menu.
- Click the ethernet icon (double arrow) in the top-right of the screen.
- Select the desired WiFi network, then enter the network password and click Connect.
- If the connection was successful, the WiFi icon will replace the double arrow icon in the top-right of the screen.
- Click Close in the top-right corner of the screen, then press ALT + TAB to return to the Home screen.
- On the Home page, click PING.
- If your device is connected to the network, the status of the Gateway and Network be shown OK in green text.
Note: The ping may fail due to firewall restrictions. If this happens, contact InReality Support.
Ethernet DHCP Setup
To set up a DHCP connection, you'll need to use an external display screen. Connect the appropriate cable from your display into the HDMI or DisplayPort (DP) on the InReality device.
Using an open USB port, attach a keyboard to the device. With the InReality AVA application running, press ALT + TAB to exit to the device Home screen.
Note: Pressing ALT + TAB will toggle between the AVA app and the device Home screen.
- From the Home screen, click Settings in the bottom-right menu.
- Click the ethernet icon (double arrow) in the top-right of the screen.
Note: By default, the ethernet icon (double arrow) will be displayed. If a WiFi connection has previously been established, the WiFi icon will be displayed.
- Click EDIT CONNECTIONS from the drop-down.
- Select the network you'd like to edit (Ethernet = Wired Connection 1), then click Edit.
- Click IPV4 SETTINGS.
- In the METHOD field, select AUTOMATIC (DHCP).
- When done, click SAVE in the bottom-right of the window.
- Click Close in the top-right corner of the screen, then press ALT + TAB to return to the Home screen.
- On the Home page, click PING.
- If your device is connected to the network, the status of the Gateway and Network be shown OK in green text.

Ethernet Static IP Setup
To set up an Ethernet Static IP connection, you'll need to use an external display screen. Connect the appropriate cable from your display into the HDMI or DisplayPort (DP) on the InReality device.

- Select the network you'd like to edit (Ethernet = Wired Connection 1), then click Edit.
- Click IPV4 SETTINGS.
- In the METHOD field, select MANUAL.
- Click ADD.
- Enter the IP Address, Netmask, and Gateway values.
- Set DNS servers to 8.8.8.8.
- When done, click SAVE in the bottom-right of the window.
- Click Close in the top-right corner of the screen, then press ALT + TAB to return to the Home screen.
- On the Home page, click PING.
- If your device is connected to the network, the status of the Gateway and Network be shown OK in green text.
